Air Crash series descends on Quest, Nine

World Media Rights produced the third season of Air Crash Confidential

Discovery’s free-to-air channel Quest in the UK and Nine Network in Australia have picked up a third season of transport disaster series Air Crash Confidential.

London-based indie World Media Rights produces the series, the third run of which is distributed outside the UK and Australia by Germany’s ZDF Enterprises.

The 6×60’ season explores the human cost of air disasters and examines the poor maintenance and human error that can lead to them. Testimony is sought from survivors, family of victims, witnesses and experts.

The six films in the new season are titled Instrument Confusion, Disastrous Descents, Incredible Causes, Emergency Landings, The Nevada Triangle and Flying Blind. They will examine high-profile accidents such as the ‘The Miracle on the Hudson,’ the disappearance of aviator Steve Fossett and the reasons for the Airbus A320 crash at a French air show.

World Media Rights’ Alan Griffiths and David McNab are executive producers.
