Flynn, who is based in LA, joined the network in 2013 as VP to develop and oversee production of non-fiction projects.

Her appointment completes the executive team of Liz Gateley, executive VP and head of programming, who joined Lifetime from production outfit DiGa last year.

The team includes: former CW exec Joanna Klein, senior VP of scripted development; Mary Donahue, senior VP of unscripted development and programming; and Tanya Lopez, senior VP of original movies.

“Since joining Lifetime, Mariana has introduced a legion of new stars into pop culture with our highly successful Little Women franchise and shows like The Rap Game,” said Gateley. “Her experience and proven track record of creating buzzy hits has attracted a whole new audience to the network.”

Flynn joined Lifetime from TLC, where she was VP of development and oversaw the network’s West Coast operations including Something Borrowed, Something New, Cheer Perfection, Gypsy Sisters and All-American Muslim.

She joined TLC in 2007 as director of development and production.
