A&E revisits The Glades

A&E in the US is returning to The Glades after ordering a fourth season of the crime drama.

The show stars Matt Passmore as a former Chicago cop who relocates to Florida where he joins the local force.

It drew an average of 4.1 million viewers during its third season and season four has now been ordered for 2013.

The Glades is produced by Fox Television Studios. Clifton Campbell (White Collar) exec produces for Innuendo Productions alongside Gary Randall (Saving Grace) for Grand Productions. The series was created by Clifton Campbell.

Season four was ordered by David McKillop, exec VP of programming for A&E. Season one of The Glades launched this week in the UK on Alibi.

Other original scripted series on the A+E Networks-owned channel include Longmire, which will have a second season next year, while the forthcoming Psycho spin-off Bates Motel is also due next year.

A&E is also developing Occult, a supernatural crime drama from Michael Bay and The X Files writer James Wong.
