A+E Poland’s Killer Women to run again

S2 of Killer Women will premiere on CI Polsat

A+E Networks in Poland has renewed its true-crime series Killer Women for a second season.

A new 6×60’ run of the show will premiere on Crime + Investigation (CI) Polsat on March 28, produced by local indie Like Vision.

Agnieszka Kubiak, head of content development and creative at A+E Networks Poland, will continue to exec produce the series, which focuses on the real-life stories of jailed Polish women.

According to European Union statistics, one third of women in Poland’s jails are guilty of murder.

Kubiak said: “One of the reasons for the CI Polsat’s successful ratings in 2017 was its local productions, which we have been commissioning for the past five years. More than 200,000 new viewers tuned to CI for season one of Killer Women, which is testament to the fact that important emotional, local stories need to be told.”

A+E Networks Poland is part of A+E Networks UK, which is a joint venture between the US broadcast group and European satcaster Sky.
