A+E Networks has agreed a distribution deal with multi-platform studio Pulse Films and its formats and entertainment company East Entertainment.

The multi-year partnership will see A+E Networks become the worldwide distributor for both East Entertainment and Pulse’s format and unscripted television output.

Amanda Hill, chief creative officer for international at A+E Networks, said the “long-term distribution partnership” would be “brand-defining.”

“Their team’s modern approach to storytelling and entertainment is renowned globally for its style and edge. Establishing A+E Networks as the distribution partner for Pulse and East helps fulfil our ambition of providing provocative, award-winning content throughout our global network, including our channels and sales partners around the world,” she added.

undressedEdward Sabin, MD of Americas and head of commercial operations for international at A+E Networks, added that the partnership “bolsters our already solid content pipeline with a substantial offering of unscripted television that we are excited to show off to global buyers.”

Vice Media took a majority stake in Pulse in March and the firm has been expanding, hiring Patrick Vien as president and adding MD Roy Ackerman from Jamie Oliver’s Fresh One Productions.

Its projects include Payday for Channel 4 in the UK and Sleeping With the Family for MTV International.
