A+E grows UK carriage

A+E Networks is extending the distribution of its channels in the UK thanks to a deal with phone, broadband and TV provider TalkTalk.

History, Lifetime, Crime & Investigation and H2 are all being added to TalkTalk’s IPTV service this month.

History and Crime & Investigation will be available on the Entertainment Extra Boost package, while Lifetime and H2 will be added to it and the basic Entertainment package. Shows from the channels will be available on the company’s catch-up service soon after their launch on the linear channels.

The launches will happen on August 28 with A+E Networks making the channel available for free on the platforms on the weekend of August 30-31.

The A+E Networks UK portfolio mixes hits from its US sister channels, such as Lifetime’s second season of drama Witches of East End, with original local commissions including Pawn Stars UK on History.
