A&E gets on Nashville wagon

The A&E Network in the US has ordered a real-life series exploring the lives of country singers in Nashville.

Crazy Hearts: Nashville will follow aspiring country music artists as they look for both career and relationship success. The 8×60′ show will go backstage at performer’s gigs and follow the artists as they try to make it in the Tennessee city.

It is being produced by Eastern and will be exec produced by Toby Barraud and Stefan Springman, along with A&E’s Drew Tappon, Fred Grinstein and Evan Lerner.

Crazy Hearts follows ABC’s musical drama show Nashville which debuted on the US net in 2012, and has since sold into Canada, the UK and Germany.
