ActiveTV shuffles creative heads

Singapore- and Melbourne-based indie ActiveTV has appointed a new creative director after the incumbent left the Asian arm of the company.

Brad Cox is being replaced by Paulo Vivan, who becomes creative director for Asia and will work with head of development Christopher Berry on new formats.

Vivan was most recently head of post production at ActiveTV and will replace Cox, who is leaving the prodco after five years to pursue other interests.

Joan Leong, ActiveTV’s VP of production, said Vivan’s “international experience” would enable the company to expand its format offering and ensure he took a “greater role across our entire production portfolio.”

ActiveTV Asia was established in 2006 and is headquartered in Singapore. It is co-owned by Michael McKay’s ActiveTV Australia and Bertram van Munster’s Profiles TV.

The prodco has been behind recent series Asia’s Next Top Model for Fox International Channels, quiz Cash Cab Asia for AXN and infotainment series Food Detectives for Channel 5 Singapore.

It also recently formed a specialist production division in Asia to focus on home and lifestyle programming. ActiveTV Home will produce shows using insights from industry experts and consultants on topics including cookery, food styling and home decoration.
