ABC turns back on Time

Time After Time

ABC in the US has cancelled its fledgling sci-fi drama Time After Time following just five episodes of its planned eight-episode debut season.

The time-travelling show sees science-fiction writer HG Wells transported to modern-day Manhattan in pursuit of Jack the Ripper.

It is produced by US prodco Outerbanks Entertainment in association with Warner Bros Television and will be replaced in its Sunday slot by Match Game.

The show sold globally to broadcasters including TVNZ in New Zealand.
