ABC returns to Celeb Wife Swap

US network ABC has commissioned a fourth season of reality format Celebrity Wife Swap.

The 13-episode run, to be produced by Zodiak Los Angeles, is a spin-off from the Wife Swap format that was originally created by Stephen Lambert for Channel 4 in the UK and later adapted by ABC.

Each show features the mothers of two famous families switching places to experience a week in each other’s shoes. The celebrities involved have not yet been announced.

The original Wife Swap format has been sold into more than 80 territories and launched on ABC in 2004. Zodiak has produced almost 180 episodes of the two shows for the network.

Meanwhile, RTL4 has commissioned Zodiak Nederland to produce a third season of Jouw Vrouw Mijn Vrouw VIPS (4×60′), the Dutch adaptation of the format, which will launch this spring.
