ABC agrees Pacific deal

ABC Studios has forged an overall deal with the production company founded by Hollywood actor Reece Witherspoon, following its first TV order.

Pacific Standard was founded by Witherspoon and Australian producer Bruna Papandrea in 2012 and recently secured its first TV commission in the form of Big Little Lie for US premium cablenet HBO.

The prodco, which is also behind movies such as Wild and Gone Girl and is developing Supreme Courtship with TriStar Television, has agreed an exclusive broadcast deal for two years, according to US trade Deadline.

Pacific Standard is also preparing to bolster its TV division with the addition of a dedicated exec to oversee its television programming who will work alongside creative chief Jeanne Snow.
