108 seals Indican deal

Canada-based distributor 108 Media has acquired the rights to 44 feature films from independent movie specialist Indican Pictures.

The deal was led by 108’s recently appointed head of acquisitions and content strategy, Nancy Silverstone, and Indican founder Shaun Hill.

The agreement will see 108 Media secure exclusive worldwide distribution rights (excluding North America) for all linear and non-linear platforms for titles including Boiling Pot by Omar Ashmawey, Downshift by Ryan Schmitz, Kamikaze by Marcus Shakesheff, Love Me True by Kirby Voss, Red Herring by Ousa Khun and Starcrossed by Chase Mohseni.

News of former Starz exec Silverstone’s appointment was broken by C21 last week.
